WRITING SEMINARS: If you don't have an extra $100,000 to $250,000 or more to pay for a topnotch book writer, did you ever think about attending a book writing seminar?

Writing seminars are ideal for many aspiring authors because you get the best of both worlds: a successful book writer working with you in person, and you learn how to write your own book. Not to mention the cost-effective approach.

For most people, it's the best alternative to having a professional ghost writer write their book. Let's face it, most people can't afford a great book writer or ghost writer. Still, they want the best and they want their book to become a bestseller.

Well, of course; it doesn't make any sense to want anything less. Why have a book if it's not going to be the best it can possibily be?

Many book writing seminars are large, with maybe 50 or 100 or more attendies. The best kind of writing seminar would be a relatively small one with a coach-to-student ratio of perhaps 1:10 or 1:20. And, of course, the writing coach would have to be excellent at teaching others his or her trade.

What Should You Pay for a Good Writing Seminar?

Cost depends on a number of things: who is coaching, the number of days of the seminar, whether there is correspondence offered after the event in the coming months, and so on.

But if we were to speak of the ideal book writing seminar, then you would be looking in the neighborhood of $5,000 to $10,000. This would be for a 3-day event - that's really more of a retreat - with some coaching afterwards. This is certainly a far cry from the the mentor's fee to write your book.
